I was given this pistol carrying case a while back and thought it was pretty interesting. It’s made by Ogden Smiths & Hussey Ltd. of London and looks like it is designed to carry 4 handguns. The outside covering is leather and the compartments are nicely lined. It has a couple of nickel plated oil bottles and lots of flannel patch material. The covered skinny compartments hold cleaning rods. One of the compartments in the top tray holds a Government Model but I don’t know what goes in the other compartments. I know these will NOT fit:
Colt Woodsman Match Target (almost but not quite)
M41 S&W
S&W M&P
M1917 S&W
.455 Webley
.38 Webley
P08 Luger
C96 Broomhandle
I’m thinking that possibly some of the skinny-barrel Colt Woodsman or High Standard pistols might fit but I’m fresh out of them to try. Maybe this is an excuse to start looking for old .22 pistols.

Very nice case, and that old 1911 looks right at home in it, doesn't it.

I'm not surprised that the case looks very nice, though, as Ogden Smiths & Hussey Ltd. made exceptional looking shotguns, both side by sides and over unders.

There's an interesting article on them here. I'm sure there is more information about them online if you search for it.

There was a guy selling one at a local gun show recently-that was in the shape of Count Dracula's coffin. Looked cool as heck.
