Emergency Repair Tape: Self Bonding Silicone Rubber Tape

I found this stuff at the Sportsman's show in Gonzales a few years back and it is great. Use it to make grips, repair stuff seal electricial connections. I used a strip around my tyler in my J frame and it gives just enough tack. I posted in the M&P thread but I thought that the rest might be interested-just a good product.
Also for use on grips is this stuff called VetWrap 3M Vetrap Bandaging Tape - Horse.com
Little stuff that has thousands of uses
What other little products do you know of that would be of interest to the forum-stuff that was made for other uses but has found its way into the firearms arena-perhaps this will turn into "A NOTABLE THREAD" that will go into the archives.

Hey Caj, Vetrap was "invented" at the old track just north of Lafayette. We had a co-adhesive hospital bandage that was tan. A couple trainers at the track started using the Coban and loved it but wanted it in their colors. We started making it as Vetrap in different colors and the rest is history. The stuff really took off when the Dallas Cowboys started using it because it was great stuff and it matched their team jersey colors(then a requirement for anything applied outside the uniforms). Proud to say that I had a little part in both of those starts.

There's a similar product (maybe the same, just packaged differently) sold in truck stops. So far, I've only used it as an electrical insulator, but it works well for that. It's kind of like a BOB; it's comforting to have some around, but you hope you never need it. ;)

i've always been a big fan of duct tape, it's helped me get through several rough incidents/situations around the house, on the road, or while boating.
that tape might be worth checking out too, thanks for the link ;)
