Hi all,
Here is an interesting pic from some time spent at the range today.
ScopeSighting12-18-122_zps5a44e76e.jpg

I moved the position of my scope for a better sight picture and zero'd it in again today.
The target was at 50 yards, the gun rail sat on a sand bag, and I held the stock.
Center circle was the three shots it took to zero it in...it was still very close considering I removed the scope and all parts to move and center a bit better. That surprised me.
The first three sets of ten were all using Winchester Super X, copper clad hollow points. I took my time placing the shots in the center of the circle as good as my current ability allowed.
The fourth set used Federal Champion lead solid points. I was very surprised at the pattern...perhaps it was just this box of 50 but nothing as accurate as the Wins despite all factors being the same.
I fairly new to this and I'm sure practice, patience and learning will improve my skills.

It is a chilly and rainy day today and by the end of my session...maybe 150 rounds total...my hands were cold, especially my trigger finger though I was wearing Mechanix work gloves.
The target is an 11x18 inch sheet of paper. The circles are from the bottle cap of a Snapple drawn with a Sharpie...working in a paper mill I have access to lots of paper...these are samples I cut for testing purposes and we save them for parents with kids for coloring etc.
Input, comments and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Nice consistency! Despite what negative comments I hear about Winchester ammo run through the 15-22, I've had great results with Winchester. If the HP ammo runs good through your rifle, try out some M-22. It's cheaper and in my rifle is slightly more accurate than CCI Mini-Mags. I've had few M-22 failures and it doesn't seem to be any dirtier than Federal, Blazer, or any other loose-bulk ammo.

Try some sub-sonic or standard velocity ammo out sometime and you'll probably notice your groups tighten up even more, though your POI may change.
