Hi Folks,
While looking through some YouTube videos I came across one about removing an internal lock on a S&W revolver. Can someone explain the benefits of doing that? Also, while I'm asking questions, does anyone know who makes rubber grips for a model 36, "J" frame with a square butt? Thanks in advance.

I could be wrong, but I think they're referring to the lock that you can use to disable the firearm. Can someone confirm? If that's what is being referred to, some people just don't like them, or feel they are necessary, or trust them to not lock at an inappropriate time.

The old Hillary hole question again and yes lots of people remove the locks and there is a forum member who sells plugs to cover the hole when the lock is removed.

. . . or trust them to not lock at an inappropriate time.

Actually it's just the exact opposite! There have been instances when the lock engaged itself. Now, you certainly don't want that to happen when you are trying to defend yourself, do ya?

He said people don't like, or trust them not to lock at an inappropriate time.
You're not quoting his whole sentence.

Pachmayr makes rubber grips for M36 SBs. This link gets you to the search page. Just fill it in and go from there.
Pachmayr&reg Pachmayr your primary source for quality handgun grips and recoil pads

As the lawyer said..........

Asked, and answered. :D
