Internall lock removal

Now that S&W is offering many, if not most of their revolvers, without the internal lock does anyone know if they will remove the internal lock if I send my revolvers to them? Or, any other thoughts? For the record, does anyone know the percentage of failures overall of the internal locks on S&W guns?

My best guess is that S&W will not remove the lock for you. Go to local gunsmith if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.

I own 3 new S&W revolvers. Never had any problems...I have never touch the locks.

The Bodyguard .38 doesn't have a lock, and I think some 442s and 642s were made without the lock, and......................................
It's still about 99% with the lock, I believe.
