OK, I want to do this. A weekly snubby match.

Just a few Rules.

10 shots two hands standing on your hind legs. (no resting)

2 distances 10 yards and 25 yards

A snubby is 2" or less for 10 yards.
A snubby is 3" or less for 25 yards.

Semi auto or Revolver. Revolver measures from the front of they cylinder. Semi auto measures entire barrel including chamber.

Since we all use different targets we will go by group size.

If you use laser sights, just say so.

ALL entries need a picture of the target, a ruler and the gun.

I want to see lots of nice looking guns and targets.

If you win this week, you cannot enter the same gun next week.

That is all. I will shoot a couple targets tonight with a 2" and a 3" revolver.

Last rule. HAVE FUN!

David

Match started on WED, so next Tuesday is the last day to enter, then its a new match. Enter early, enter often.

Sounds like fun! I should be able to get out and do this on Saturday.
My only two snubbies will be a 3" semi auto and a 2.5" revolver.
Let the games begin.

There ARE 10 holes. You just have to look for them. Almost needed a yardstick! :)

I have had better days. I measured my LCP, its over 2", so 25 yards. Its gonna be tough.

Have fun

Bump for the weekend. I shot another 25 yard target with a 637. It took me 2 tires to get them all on the paper. Will post it later.

I only own 2 snubbies. Both M36. I'll give it a go but it might not be till Sun/Mon

Used my wife's Ruger LCR. DAO 148gr WC at 10 Yards. And yes there are 10 holes there. Just noticed I need to include the gun in the pic. I'll add it to my 25 yard post. Sorry. By the way this is a fun idea.

I used it at 25 also. Will post it when I get the pic uploaded.

Don't we need a time limit?

How about 20 seconds from the leather for 10 yards and 30 seconds from the leather for 25 yards? Reloads included.

Hey, this sounds like fun! I probably won't get out shooting until early next week, but I'm in. I have several that will all want to play!

And what about ammo? Do we shoot with what we normally carry, or can we shoot ammo we made just for paper punching?

You could use time limits but then you would need shot timers and speed loaders maybe even mag pouches for the loaders. I have a shot timer but no speed loaders for an LCR. I think simple is better in this case. Just my thoughts.

Time limit? Speed loader? Special ammo?

Just shoot the gun and post targets.

Everybody can play. Get to know your snubby.

If you want to use a timer, go for it and post what you did.

If your gun is 3.01" barrel, shoot and post what it was. I have a 3" Officers model 45 that I have not measured yet. I will post a target and PICTURE of THE GUN.

I saw a thread of big bore snubbys. Shoot them too. Big holes in the paper, little gun. Sweet!

I didn't see this until after the fact, but wanted to share nonetheless. (I will work within the specific parameters next time out). Yesterday's range session featured my recently acquired Ruger Alaskan snub, firing HSM .44 JHP Specials @ ~ 15', double action from strong-side holster. The size/weight of the Alaskan is misleading ... it is quite accurate, and very easy to shoot DA. Though I might not be winning IDPA speed or bullseye points, I'm satisfied in how the Alaskan performed.

Photo shows the Alaskan and a S&W 624 for large frame snub comparison.

Will try to get out this week and shoot. Only have a 2" so I'll shoot at both, I'll probably only be able to get all ten on target at 10 yards, I'll need a yards stick for 25 yards.:o

This is a great idea.
