Iran attacking Israel

Horrible news...

You may have noticed the stock market declines in the past week. Investors saw this coming...

Reports show that Iran launched drone attacks on Israel within the past few hours, after a recent attack on their Syrian consulate. NOT GOOD...

I pray that we don't get involved in another war that can't be won...

WWIII.....really? You think other significant players are the least bit interested in what those two clown countries do ?

I hope Israel lights off the big one on Iran and removes them from the face of the earth....but they won't.

Expectation is that Iran will launch cruise and ballistic missiles to arrive over Israel about the same time as the drones, and will saturate and overwhelm the Israeli defenses.

You will also have the closer Iranian proxies launching missiles and drones.

In fact, I believe Hezbollah has already done so and hit in the North.

I doubt either country truly want a large war but the potential is always there.

Don't think it's a serious attack (yet).
Last report I saw 5 minutes ago said only one (so far) drone incoming, and a slow one at that. Easy to track and intercept.
Things could pick up over the next week or so, though.

It COULD be won, we just don't have the unity and intestinal fortitude to do it.

Just hit them right where the head of the snake is and call it a day.

Iran has been the biggest terror sponsoring country in the ME since what, the 70s now... long overdue. I'm sure most Iranians would prefer some "liberation" at this point anyway.

Iran does not want a full scale war with Israel. They launched drones to save face after accusing Israel of last weeks strike. It was a move to save face knowing Israel will shoot down most if not all of them. Israel has the second best Air Force in the world. An incredible iron dome Defense system. And very deep pockets. The rest of the world should stand back and let Israel rid the world of the vermin in that region.

This could be very bad. Not to mention, Iran can shut down the straight of Hormuz. That would spike oil prices even more. And anything else shipped through there.

Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution, though, sent relations between the two nations into a tailspin. Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was ousted, and the new supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, pursued a policy of standing up to "arrogant" world powers. During his regime, the United States became known in Iran as the "Great Satan," and Israel as the "Little Satan."

Even so, limited cooperation between Israel and Iran continued into the 1980s. But later a hostile rivalry emerged as Iran built up and funded proxy militias and other groups in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen. A shadow war between Iran and Israel grew over the years.

Many back then refused to admit who was at the root of all those problems.
Many didn't know. Even more didn't care.
Our future always starts now.

News reports so far are very sparse on details, but it appears that only a few Iranian weapons made it into Israel, doing only minor damage and no fatalities. Most were destroyed by air defenses. I saw no mention of Israeli retaliatory measures.

"Multiple" drones were shot down by U.S. forces as well
as Israel's Iron Dome defenses, ABC and Fox have reported.
U.S. actions occurred even before drones neared Israel.

As an aside to today's actions, Israeli and U.S. F-35s as
early as August, 2022 carried out missions over Iran to
test its air defense radar. These maneuvers were
executed in case this day were to come.

The stock markets might be down, but I think I should invest in the "Great Military Industrial Complex"! It's time for all to reload. Probably means more shortages in ammo and components.
Everybody should go out and buy up remaining supplies to avoid shortages. Ready, set, and go!

From the Associated Press Sunday morning:

"At my direction, to support the defense of Israel, the U.S. military moved aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the region over the course of the past week," Biden said in a statement late Saturday. "Thanks to these deployments and the extraordinary skill of our servicemembers, we helped Israel take down nearly all of the incoming drones and missiles."

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in a statement said the U.S. took out dozens of the attacks, but did not provide details on ships or aircraft involved in the operation that commanders had been preparing for over the past two weeks
