is 13 really an unlucky number?(never mind, i can't count)

Depends on your culture. In Asia the number 4 is unlucky because the word sounds like the word for death. I picked 13 as my lucky number a long time ago. Plus, it was Kurt Warner's uniform number.

Numbers shnumbers. We have the best luck when we’re happy, so I say go with what would make you happier. What gives you more pleasure - racking the slide of a new (to you) 1911, or glancing at a paper bank statement at the beginning of the month that shows a number that’s one integer higher left of the first comma and filing it away? Temper that feeling by noting the interest rate they paid you.

Yes, it officially became an unlucky number on Friday, October 13, 1307. Lee, instead of shelling out the bucks for number 14, I suggest picking the 1911 you like least and ship it to me. That way we can take the burden off of you tempting fate.
