is a loose firing pin bad?

i noticed that the firing pin on my 38 m&p is loose. It pivots up and down. But not a whole lot. also a very little movement side to side as well, but not enough to impact the side ( i dont think). Ive shot it, and it shoots fine. Is this normal with revolvers? If not is it fixable at a reasonable price?

It is suppose to do that it keeps the firing pin from breaking

It's supposed to float, that's the way they are built to self align.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. The fact that it shoots fine is really all that counts.
