Is bigger better?

Several years ago I bought one of the S&W 629-5 "Extreme Hunter" revolvers, with the factory 12" barrel. It's a beast.

When I went to pick it up from my local FFL guy, he said to me, "you must have a very small... attention span". I replied, "Well, I've got SMALL hands... but A LOOOOONG time to live!"

Ah humor...

Best wishes,

Is that your new carry gun, and the 686 a BUG?

How do you like it!? Have any older DW's to compare to? I've been interested in picking up one of the new production 715's; assuming I can find one.

It's different. I'm not sure yet if it is better or worse. I have a hard time staging the double action, but the pull is shorter. The cylinder is smaller than the 686, closer to a K frame. That means slower reloads, so I don't know how much use this will be for games. But the interchangeable barrels are fun and a cool trick.

This is one of the new 715s by the way, pretty easy to grab one on Gunbroker right now. The barrel was from the CZ webstore.

"Is that a palm tree in your pocket or are you just glad to see me? " (sorry...couldn't resist)
