Is it my imagination?

Bought some WWB .38 special range ammo at Walmart. Haven't bought factory .38 in 25-30 years. Didn't have time to load ammo, so I reluctantly bought some. The ammo, 130 hr FMJ, performed quite well. Very accurate from my M66 2-1/2". When I unloaded the cylinder, the brass seemed like it was about half the weight I was expecting. I haven't weighed any to compare to some of my vintage brass, but it sure seems lighter. Anyone else observe this phenomenon?

No, they are bright shiny brass.

I haven't paid any special attention to the brass, but that 130 grain Win load shoots great. It really shines in a lever rifle.

Dillon has announced changes to their warranty, no longer covering damage decapping certain brass. One named is S&B with brass-clad steel cases. So there may well be several cost-cutting changes.

Yes, I shot a 6 shot, 2" group at 20-25 yards with my 66 snuby shooting offhand single action. Pretty good ammo, even if the cases appear to be flimsy.

I've loaded these cases without incident. I haven't weighed one, however.
