Is it ok to ask how many people listen to RUSH ?

Thread drift here but I'm really gonna miss Neal Boortz. He's funny and smart and consistent and logical, which many others aren't. He also does a lot better job of letting people with opposing views get their point across without interrupting them, but at the same time he won't suffer a fool.

I think a lot of the fun of it went out for him when Royal Marshall died. They were a good pair. When he announced his retirement he said one of the factors was that Royal's dying made him think if he really wanted to spend what time he had left behind a mike.

Glad to see there are other Boortz fans. He's going to do a daily 2 minute commentary during the Herman Cain show.

Not the biggest Rush fan. The ego thing is a bit much and he's often logically inconsistent. But in small doses he can be entertaining.

Very small doses & depends on the topic. His staff is great at gathering info & he puts it out there OK. The "Sniff of Superiority" and the "Stammer of Intelligent Exasperation" are just too much.

I used to be a regular listener until I realized that he was taking his schtick seriously. He really is a self important jack***. I would group him in with that British twit on TV, except I don't ever watch the Brit at all.

Often! I cranked "Workin' Man" this morning on my way in. Made the trip seem much quicker. I love getting looks from nearby cars as my 1100 watts of JL Audio is thumpin' at 6:00 am. It gets my blood flowing.

Oh wait. What?, Oh him....Yeah, he's ok too. Rush is a bit pompous for me but he's usually spot on and is sometimes quite humorous.

When the "liberalfication of America" is absolutely everywhere in the media you have to listen to Rush, et el. just to keep your sanity!

I hate to shoot the messenger. Especially when he's carrying my message!!!!!

Nah... He's too loud, angry, hypocritical, egotistical, and often spews misinformation... And that's just when he's NOT on pain meds.

I do appreciate some of his views and opinions however. In general though, I can't stand him....

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk... So please forgive any ridiculous typing errors.

I started listening to him again recently. I am home with just me and the dogs most days and have the radio on most of the time while working around the house. I am not a dedicated fan but he and Hannity have been the only con voices to the legions of media types and politicians jumping on the "gun violence" wagon that I hear over the airwaves. I am sure they are just doing what will bring them a bigger audience but I still would rather listen to that than PBS...I used to listen to that a lot...and the other idiots who want to blame all our woes on the evil guns. I ceased watching the local and national CBS News programs because my blood pressure can't take it anymore.

I have the proud honor of living the next town over from Rio Linda. Really. But there is no town ordnance here saying every yard has to have a car on blocks in the front yard like Rio Linda has.

Limbaugh's show is formatted to be listened to in short segments. Though there are some people who do, most working people don't listen to the whole show every day. Because of the show's sound bite format if you listened to the whole show every day there would be some repetition.

I tell you who I really miss on the air, and that's Paul Harvey. What a class act he was!

Rush the band- Every Day

Rush the Limbaugh-On Occasion.

His themes/rants can get kind of redundant, but I agree with him most of the time.

I thought Michael Savage had a good show but no longer on the air where I live.

I heart radio app is pretty sweet, KSFO560 online or i heart. Best educated dude on the radio.

I listen to Rush but can't honestly say I like the man. His voice is needed when there is so much coming at us from the liberal side.

I listen some and agree with him most of the time. The man makes sense if you listen to him. Some of his bravado is for entertainment. He is a great conservative voice. If you are conservative , it is hard to argue with his message.

I listen to Limbaugh.

I always "heard" he was a blow hard until I started listening to him.

I started realizing that I agreed with him most of the time.

...............................

Rush the band? Yep, like them as well.

But I have a very simple, logical question...........

Why is Rush and Public Enemy (among others) in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and NOT The Marshall Tucker Band?!?!?!?!

I stopped listening to him years ago, even before the Oxycontin scandal. He's just a neocon cheerleader for the Republican party.

I listened to Rush when I lived in California in 1988 when he started. He's long winded but brings a lot of information to us that would never be revealed otherwise. The media sure won't. Here in Oregon I listen to Lars Larson. He's on our side for sure.

I like their music, especially, Tom Sawyer!

I am not kidding. It was years before I knew that those "Rush is Right" stickers weren't referring to the band.:D

My fave is Red Barchetta. The lyrics are just as meaningful today as ever. Maybe more so.

Used to listen to Rush all the time, 'til I caught the message.
Whatever news you hear or read, think about the agenda of
the people telling the story. Works for libs or conservatives.
Now that I drive a lot, I get upset by the stuff that's going on.
Classic country/rock works for me.
