Is it ok to ask how many people listen to RUSH ?

Used to listen to Rush all the time, 'til I caught the message.
Whatever news you hear or read, think about the agenda of
the people telling the story. Works for libs or conservatives.
TACC1

The libs are much better at the out of context edited sound bite. Granted, the last republican occupier was a huge target and it didn't require a lot of skill or imagination to make him sound like an idiot, but when the right tries to do it it winds up sounding like somebody's 5 year old got ahold of that 70s vintage tape deck from grandpa's attic.

I actually tried to listen to Air America when it was on. OMG it was terrible. It didn't fail due to political content, it failed because it was both boring and annoying at the same time. :barf:

"Moving Pictures" was one of the first albums i bought on CD when we got our first player. That album was made for digital.

Before that I had recorded "Moving Pictures" on one side of a 90 minute cassette and "Crimes of Passion" on the other with DBX noise reduction. Just about wore that bad boy OUT!

I kinda liked the 80s. ;)

Yes, I listen to him as he's against all that the Libs stand for.

SO THINK ABOUT IT ! ! !

I love Rush, my favorite song is "Tom Sawyer" Gedi Lee is awesome, lol limbaugh is pretty good too..

But I have a very simple, logical question...........

Why is Rush and Public Enemy (among others) in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and NOT The Marshall Tucker Band?!?!?!?!
Cantchusee?
It's because they haven't found the freight train MT is on..........
farm out, man.

I like Rush. He is opinionated and bombastic but so what? How docile is the other side of the coin? That's part of who he is. He has an audience of twenty to thirty million listeners each week so he is doing something right. He gives a voice to those of us who are conservative and believe in those values and have no public forum to voice our beliefs.

Reguardless of what anyone might think of him just know he is on our side, period. Yes, he used to take med's for his back pain, get over it. Yes, he makes money, so what? Telling me you don't make money when you work? He employs about 120 people.

Right on, Right on, Right on, wish I were Rush Jr., I do enjoy the over the top pomposity, but he is quite reasonable, and at times quite kind and gracious, he's absolutely priceless. Like Dr. Dobson, you will miss him when he's gone! We are loosing the country because most of us would rather beat up Limbaugh, and argue with one another over trifles than engage the enemy, and defend our God Given Liberty! Start with the right to Life, some things are elementary my Dear Watson! Billy Magg

Off and on since the 1980s. I'm usually not near a radio at that time of the day otherwise I would tune him in.
I can't get G. Gordon in my area. Wish I could.

I use to listen to him quite often. Now, not so much. It does get tiring. You have to admit, hr's got guts for some of the things he says.

Geddy, Alex, and Neil? The Moving Pictures tour at the Summit in Houston in '81 (maybe '82?)..... oh, THAT Rush. Never mind.

I listen to him when I can and agree with most of what he says. Yes he is loud and some time obnoxious but he does usually have the facts straight. We all make mistakes sometimes but he is usually right.

Red Barchetta is a good driving song. Im sure they make Red Green proud to be Canadian. Limbough on the other hand - I dont mind him now and then but cant take a steady diet of him. Too much negativity.

I used to but got tired of it. G Gordon Liddy had a good radio show.

Used to listen to the G man all the time. Right, wrong, indifferent... he stood up & didn't roll over like the rest. And I found him interesting to listen to.

My favorite... "As a felon I don't own any guns. But Mrs. Liddy owns several." :D

Naw, Rush affects me alot like my younger brother. To paraphrase Voltere. "I may agree with what you say, but DAMN I'm sick of hearing you say it!"

I still do. I think Neil Peart is probably the best drummer
of my teenage years. Getty Lee and Alex Lifeson make this
the best 3 man band ever.
Check out 2112 for a great album.
Oh, you mean the fat guy who takes drugs ??? Sorry....

Fly By Night
The Camera Eye
Cygnus x-1
Jacob's Ladder

All great songs.

As far as Rush the person, I listen to him when I get the chance but I really love Glenn Beck's Moron Trivia, he brought it back after many years before he was really popular.

Rush?

Caught my eye. I thought the group. It is my fav group of all time. Have all the records (those flat black things that are played on a turntable), had all the cassette tapes which I wore out, now have all the CD's, and all of the digital format stuff that I can find. I can't get enough. Seen them in concert numerous times. First concert was in Des Moines, IA. All the Worlds a Stage. Nov. 15, 1976. Anything close within a 100 mile radius was fair game up to current.
