350871979355 this is a item number for a rail system on ebay that will allow you to have a above and a below rail by using the available SD40 rail Or there is 2 different dovetail sight mounts out there:
one that is a flat rail; http://***************/mp-pistol-accessories/33996-new-rear-sight-opton-red-dot-ready.html

one that RDS's mount straight onto; http://www.opticsplanet.com/trijicon-rmr-pistol-mount-for-smith-wesson-m-p.html

Ive been thinking since Ive got my SD9VE with all the goodies you can buy these things from apex and galloway precision and the trigger is down to 4lbs 12ozs that i wanted to get a Dr RDS milled on the slide with suppressor sights put in. Someday...someday...

Talking to you from his Samsung Galaxy S4

It says tha trijicon is for tha m&p models...will it fit tha sd models as well

depends on the type of reddot you speak of. there are dual rail systems and there are also reflex sight mounts you can get from cheperthandirt. they work on m&p models so i would assume they work with SD models as well since most times they work together

if you simply mean a laser red dot then yes the picatinny will accept it.

if you mean a reflex sight with a red dot in middle then there is some other things that need to be done first

ANY UPDATES TO THIS THREAD?

Has anyone had good experiences with mounting reflex sights on their SD40VE guns they've like to share?
