My , that front sight is tall. Are the sights functional , as in POA?

Looks like a fun shooter.

Thanks Jim. I guess that the photo attached to Roy's entry about the Mexican Model answers one question. I see it has the barrel shaped knob. That picture also shows the type of stocks I would have seen on some guns of that era. The checkering area looks larger and the bottom corners seem square and not rounded like Chris's gun, but maybe attributed to the particular stock maker's style over another maker in the shop. As I look at my early Masterpiece Magnas, they all have the rounded corners like your photo.
