HOW MANY OF YAL ARE THE SAME? HOPE IM NOT THE ONLY ONE.

Ammo mode? You are certainly not alone! For my part, phone calls have not been helpful. The best results I've had have come from simply crusing the LGS's and chain stores looking to see what is available. As well, developing friendly relationships with the staff have been helpful.

As to reselling... I've not engaged in that practice. I have two daughters who from time to time get on a plane and fly down for a visit. When they get home, they invariably want their mother to cook chicken and dumplings. And very happily, they always want me to take them shooting. Of course I am thrilled to oblige them. I load magazines and they shoot! What a joy to watch! I stay busy trying to keep plenty of .22 LR ammo on hand because I don't want to tell them, "Sorry," when they come to visit.

I'm not a fanatic on finding ammo, although when I'm anywhere that ammo is sold I check to see what's available. I'm stocked up on 22 r.f. and have a small supply of other calibers so that if I do happen on any at outrageous prices, I have the option of leaving it sit. I've noticed that on some local ads that the high dollar " assault rifle" ads have tapered off quite a bit, but some sellers are still attempting to get big bucks for Rem. T-Bolts and other cheap bulk ammo. As for the all CAPS complaint, there are some of us that, after many rounds down range, our hearing ability isn't as good as it used to be and every little bit helps lol.........Dan

I've given up on the "ammo hunt" for the most part. Ill still stop and look if I'm in the store but I no longer go out of my way to find it. I have a small cache to credit but I've accepted the fact that ill shoot less now and wait this out. I still check online gun sites like armslist and just shake my head that people are still buying ammo at 2-3 times the cost.

Thats a bit obsessive if you ask me. Calling so many companies day in, day out, waiting to rush over and buy buy buy!! Don't you guys have anything else to do? I get it, i want to go shooting too but its not exactly a priority. I can, and do, do other things. Maybe its because im not retired and only have one day off a week where i have to squeeze in shopping, errands, shooting, and relaxation. But im just kinda "whatever" about the whole thing. Only thing that does bother me is the high prices .....no one wants to spend more for the same thing.

So....what i do is every morning at work i check a few websites to see if anything is available. If it is and the price is right i'll buy some......of not i move on and check tge next day.

I think that that is a reasonable response to current circumstances, as long as you don't overpay. Myself, I wised up in the early nineties, and have no great concern about current events.

Recommend you fix your caps lock key.

There's nothing wrong with trying to get what you want at least you will be able to have fun and go to the range. As long as its for personal use nothing wrong with hounding these companies they want our money its part of the game. Now if u were clearing out the shelves and reselling then that would be sad. But nothing wrong with being the early bird who gets the worm. Keep it up and hook up your friends who don't have enough free time to do the same I'm sure they'll be happy to finally find a box.

I think you should stop and think about what you are doing and why. Sounds a little over the top. You are far from being alone, but that does not make it sensible. It is a form of self-perpetuating mass hysteria. How else can you explain .22 ammo disappearing from the shelves? Like the cap and ball gear referred to above, the last thing to be worried about. I have more reason to be irritated, because for however long this foolishness lasts, it is coming off the back end for me, I don't have that many years left.
Why not discover the wonderful world of air guns? No ammo problem there.

Thanks appreciate your kind words as for the caps if I "offended" anyone sorry was just seeing if its just me or is anyone else addicted to buying ammo as I am. And as for free time I have plenty just recent got laid off from the rigs so now I have plenty of time

Sometimes when something of value is taken away from a person, the person is desperate to fill the void. Losing your job may be a factor. If you have access to a counselor, or trusted clergy, perhaps a little conversation would give you some peace of mind?

I would rather hoard ammo and share it or shoot it myself rather than have some flipper hog all of it with every intention to screw the next guy over.

22 ammunition was not that easy to find before the recent incidents. I was having a hard time keeping supply of 1000 rounds a month.
That would keep me and my daughter able to go to the range whenever we wanted .
I've gone two months that we could not go to the range. And finally found 700 rounds. That's maybe two range days. This month.
For many years I never Any ammunition at home. Simply packed up the guns and on the way stopped and picked up what we needed. I guess those days are gone.

Now I have to take time stopping . Any place that sells ammunition. Whenever it's convenient and buying whatever is reasonably priced. Never thought I'd be interested in buying 5000 rounds at a time. But if the opportunity presents itself I guess I will.

The only thing wrong is that you didn't stock up before the elections, then the tragedy at the school happened and the rest is history. I have so much ammo I have been helping out family and friends, just like after the last election only this time its worse.

Get out there and live life. Calling up all those stores is time consuming and then driving out there is probably taking you away from much more important things. The ammo craze is already beginning to wear out. I live in Charlotte and believe me it was almost impossible to find anything since last week of December. The past few weeks I now walk into places and have not had a problem getting what I need. I just bought 2 boxes of 555 Winchester at a very busy Walmart here a few days ago. They had 2 shelves full. Went back this afternoon and 4 boxes left. People are beginning to get back to normal.

So you buy a thousand to keep the other guy from buying a thousand.

How can you tell if he was an evil flipper hogging it or a brother hoarder sharing it?

Good point. I guess I am just trying to say I would like to stop having to feel the need to stock up when I am not sure if there will be ammo the next time I look. Then have to pay outrageous prices from the flippers.
