Is the 2011 M&P15T worth it?

Within the period of one year and shooting 300 rounds of .223 per month, the money spent on ammo will be more than the price of either 15T. How is that for one way to justify the more expensive rifle?

It's extra stuff needed to make the rifle just the way you want it that can really count up. On my wife's early model 15T there is the smallest Magpul pistol grip available, angled fore grip, Troy ambi mag release, single point sling mount bracket, A.R.M.s quick release that attaches her inexpensive Bushnell red dot and a grip pod that hasn't seen the light of day in a long time. And then there is the dual heavy duty rifle transportation case.

So, in the big picture, the purchase price of the rifle gets lost among all the other stuff.

How do you like it? At that price point the fact you still have the black reticle if the batteries die is a great feature. I REALLY want a Trijicon ta01nsn but not sure I can ever afford one. Have you been able to stretch it out 200-300 yards? If so how did it perform?

Yes sir. It was mil-spec or at least the mil-spec magpul fit perfectly.

I'm sub 2 MOA at 100 with the Burris. I haven't taken it further than that yet. And honestly, both time its been cold and windy. I don't own a sighting stand, so there may be a few things contributing to that sub 2 MOA. I bet if I had a sighting stand I'd be at 1 MOA. But its a really nice scope. It retails for $369 and I picked it up on black Friday for $269. I do like the red/green/and black reticle.

Considering that my local shop sold a new MOE for $1800, I can't imagine what my current set up is worth in this crisis mode market.

yeah present value is crazy, I mentioned to the wife that I could sell one and we could be out of debt. She emphatically said "NO" we both need an AR!!! Gotta love that woman!!

+1 on the Burris AR332 scope had one for a couple of years now and really like it as well.
