a medium frame when compare to a large frame? or the grips are not related to the frame size?

Yes, an N-frame grip is slightly larger than a K/L-frame.
 
Regarding modern revolvers, the J grip frame is smaller than the K (which is the same as the L and X frames), and the N frame is largest as -db- noted. If you are looking for stocks, also note if it is round or square butt.
 
Actually, the size of the grip frames are about the same, however the trigger reach on the N frame is about 1/8 inch longer than the K, L, or X frames. The major difference is the "notch" the web of the hand fits into on the N frame is set a bit towards the rear. Basically, it's really a subtle difference in shape and not purely size. IMO it's not really significant, however I do have hands a bit on the larger end of average. For someone with small hands or short fingers that increase in trigger reach may be an issue.
