According to this, my 6906 would have a steel frame and isn't considered compact. Weird.

Are you referring to the info on the wheel? My wheel says of the 6906 that it is 12 rounds, SS slide/aluminum frame, TDA, fixed sights. It also says "mini (3.5" barrel)" which I interpret as compact.
