Is there anything Break Free CLP can't do?

So the other day I was working on my truck and in moment of clumsiness, I put a scratch on the rear door. While I don't worry too much about putting a scratch on a 13 year old Chevy, for some reason I sprayed the area with Break Free CLP. And I'll be darned, but it pretty much took the scratch out - at least enough to look presentable. I know its mostly sold as a gun cleaner, but I keep finding it useful for just about everthing. Keeps my reels and tools rust free too!

I found a brand new tube of it at the range, and have been using it ever since. I found it good enough when the time comes I'll buy a tube of it.

I use Remington "Remoil aerosol" to clean my guns after I've sprayed them with Remington Shotgun cleaner solvent. Remoil is like WD-40 but a little thicker and gives a bit more lubrication and rust resistance, and is great for tools, machinery, locks, and also cleaning the plastic on my cars and four wheelers. Just last week I was wearing some oil-tanned leather shoes and they were a bit dirty and I was getting ready to meet some clients. I noticed the Remoil on the shelf and gave them a quick spray and my shoes looked like brand new!

Break Free is excellent.

But as Farmer 17 noted, don't overlook RemOil.
Yes, it's runny but I've found it great for revolvers.
A few drops into the actions and you're good to go.

Because it is runny, it gets everywhere and never seems
to coagulate. I think it was especially developed for
revolvers which need very, very, very little lubrication.

Does anyone use BreakFree CLP as a bore cleaner? Is it effective?

I would guess other cleaners would work far better, particularly for the removal of carbon and copper fouling. However, I've never tried BreakFree CLP for this, so don't know for sure.

Works fine as a general cleaner, doesn't remove copper or lead

I use good old Hoppes #9 for cleaning. I like the smell :D

Cleaner - Lubricant - Protectant , it's supposed to do it all three .
Not exceptional at any one job but will work passable in all three. I have had Break Free CLP go gummy inside a J-frame and a K-11 rifle's action , so use it sparingly in these places.

Just curious and thank you for the responses. I don't use it for any sort of cleaning and won't start now.

Ed's Red, Hoppe's #9, Bore Tech Eliminator, and Patch Out / Wipe Out all work quite well for their intended applications.
