Is There Others Growing Tired of Packing?

RussC,
The wife and are thinking about a Ruger LCP for the times when nothing else will do.. But does the Beretta Pico have a tip up barrel? I had a few of the Berettas with tip up barrels "no extractors" and all went back to the gun shop.. Do let me know about the Beretta Pico ! I have not looked into it and as a rule love Berettas as I have a few.. A old 1935 .32 and a Model 70 .22!! Thanks !! George

Florida J Frame, Yep! I like it!

The Pico is not a tilt barrel. It has an extractor and when released will be the thinnest ccw and the sights from pictures are adjustable ate better than the Ruger LCP. It will weigh in about 2 oz heavier than the Ruger LCP and my guess it is due to the stainless steel slide. It will retail for $399.

Russ,
Thank you!! Going to have a look at one at there web site and then see if I can find one in a gun shop so I ,We can handle it! Is it about the same size as the LCP? That's not a bad price for a Beretta! George

Your draw string comment made me smile.

The first time I relieved myself #1 in a public restroom with my Shield in my front sweat pants pocket I was taught a lesson on mass and gravity.

When I undone the knot to the draw string the weight of the Shield sent my sweat pants racing to the ground. I can confirm the Shield will not fire when dropped on a tile floor.

Russ :-)

Now that is funny **** right there. I too discovered a 3913tsw/4040pd were also durable in the same situation as well. Now the TP holder becomes a resting point before dropping trow.

Russ,
Like you I love the Shield, but more often than not I'm carrying my Taurus 738 TCP in my front pocket. I had a LCP, didn't like it, didn't shoot well for me. The TCP however is IMO better, plus it locks back on the last shot. I know some can't stand Taurus, but I love my little 738. Just my .02

I believe when the Beretta Pico when released will be about the same size as the Ruger LCP only slightly thinner and about 2 oz heavier tipping the scale 11.5 oz.

From the pictures there will be the option to change out the frame for different colors and built in the frame lasers and light. There will also be an option of swapping barrel for a 32.

I am going to let others test it out for reliability. I learned my lesson when I purchased one of the first Beretta Nanos. It was a little frustrating trying to get her to work.

The Pico hopefully will be alittle more reliable with all types of ammo.

I carry a M&P 40 full size most of the time so when I carry the Shield it feels pretty light and easy to carry. I carry both IWB. I'm like someone above said. I put it on in the morning and it's just what I do. I don't notice it much anymore.

I won a BladeTech Klipt for a Glock 19 at this past weekend's ZSA NC State Match. I am highly impressed so far with its speed and comfort. It's crazy quick. I'd say but for its position it's as fast as any other BladeTech holster and definitely worth picking up. I'm sold because it's sweat proof, but straight up shocked that it's so darn fast and still so comfy.
