A certain gun accessory maker/seller sends me regular emails. Got this one today, advertising their new in-house holster design for pistols with lights. Sorry - shown on a Glock with no safety. Any popular striker handgun, trigger hanging out, is asking for an AD.

That looks like a joke. I find it hard to believe they'd market a holster like that.

Take an actual look at the holster. The pic shows the handgun outside of it, when actually used the kydex will indeed cover the trigger.

I got my brofher a G17 holster like this for Christmas made by Fobus.

That picture appears to be showing the holster from the perspective of the gun being drawn/holstered, so the Glock isn't all the way inside.
If you look carefully, there's clearly a space to accommodate the trigger guard, that's just an awkward pic in which the gun is partway out of the holster.

Looks to me like another tacti-cool item designed to part one from their money. I'm not tacti-cool, so this would be a definite "no" for me.

Whenever I see a post that's titled " Is this a bad idea ?"

1.) I just have to look !

2.) 99 times out of 100 the answer is going to be ...
... Oh Man , Heck Yes That,s a Bad Idea !

On this one ... lets roll the dice and go with ...Bad Idea ?

None of my handguns have lights attached so I really don't know ... it just looks like a ...
...B. I. (Bad Idea) .

It's all kind of uggo to me even when the gun is all the way in the holster.

..But it probably works OK, just not me that's all,,the holster or the pistol..

We have to consider people who might want their carry gun outfitted with light, extended barrel, extended magazine, optics, shoulder stock, and turn-the-crank full auto trigger attachment. This is the first holster I've seen that would accommodate that! Other than a big magnet on your belt. :P

Does it come with a first aid kit for the carnage that front sight is going to leave behind when you draw it? :p

In all seriousness, it can be difficult to find a decent holster (especially for an M&P) for a gun with light and optic.

This, however, is not the answer...

The Glock appears to have a threaded barrel (I know, looking at a Glock for that extended length of time can lead to blindness), so is there an option for a holster to also carry the suppressor?...Maybe when my all-plastic .38-44 HD with optic sights and accessory rail finally arrives, I'll order one......Ben

You on the Rugerforum too? LOL this was posted there. I think the pic shows the gun not inserted all the way into the holster, but seems to be with that open of a design, even your pants could get bunched up in the trigger area, and as you holster it, could cause a negligent discharge.

Hard NO from me.

I doubt if there is any legitimate competition that would permit that holster to be used. If it showed up in any kind of class or match it might be laughed out of the room.

I don't do any competition shooting nor pay much attention to it, but there is some very weird stuff available. Whether the one I pictured below is for legitimate competition or not I don't know, but Safariland lists it as a competition holster. Priced at $223, made out of aluminum, and available in pretty colors too. :)

Yes I am on the Ruger forum as well. The seller did not include the fully inserted pic. Wondered about that before I posted, but I've seen some very long Streamlights before, too.

So, I stand corrected. At the same time, not a lot holding the gun. Prefer something like the one I had Bare Arms make for my Ruger American .45 with a Streamlight.
