That's about what I'd expect to see for a Model 10 these days. I see them offered on online sites for less, but by the time I added shipping and transfer fees, there isn't much difference.
As always, I'd offer less. What's the worst thing that can happen? They'll say no?
It appears to be a fairly worn model 10, likely a -5 or 7, with the standard tapered 4" barrel. It depends on how hard you to want to look for one (online auctions, dealer web pages, etc.) but to me it is about $100 too high. Local selling conditions and your bargaining abilities need to be considered. Hope this is helpful.
Looks fairly used, I do wish I had an extra 400! I'd love to pick up another smith.
