Island of Guadeloupe have you been there?

The wife and I are going to the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe for 5 weeks. No, I do not speak french. We are staying in the town of Sainte Anne. I am wondering if any of you have been there and what to look out for, attractions, neat places, cautions, and general information. Originally we were to meet a French couple we know from Quebec City but health concerns forced them to have to cancel. Thanks in advance.

Get Duolingo. It is a free app for your phone. Spend half an hour a day for the next five weeks and you should have enough French to get by, plus it will help you pick up the language much faster once you are there.
