Minot is flooded, I'm dry where I live but a quarter of the city is having their houses flooded out. My daughter lost her house, water is up to the eves. My work location has been evacuated and we're set up in a temporary location so I'm luckier than most. I have my house and I have my job. 11,000 people aren't so lucky right now.

We just got an additional 3 inches of rain within an hour, communities along the Mouse, Des Lacs and Souris rivers are hurting bad.

My prayers are with you and yours. No one should have to go through that.

I grew up in Grand Forks, left in '68 and seldom went back until I helped some relatives in the flood of '96. Real tough...

My wife and I are visiting ND from PA. We are located in a Holiday Inn Express in Rapid City. We currently are experiencing hard rains, lightening, and a hail storm. We have had weather alerts on the TV with a tornado warnig through 10:00 tonight.
Sorry to hear about your daughters loss and your suffering.
Our prayers are with you.
Blessings, Walter

Flooding is an event that nobody should go through. There is no way to not lose during a flood.

My thoughts are with you and all the others struggling during a very trying time in life.

Here's hopin' things kinda calm down up there and everbody gits through it OK.

Hang in there, there's lots of people prayin' for ya.

We just issued a burn ban in the southern Ozarks because of lack of rain. Seems the location of water is feast or famine.

I dont mean to take away from anyones misfortune or suffering, but slightly off thread have this observation. I lived in california for 40 years. There too it was feast or famine. Meaning the country either burned up or had many floods. What irked me was seeing people building exspensive houses in the exact spots where there recently was floods! Over time it was a regular thing!

I won't compare our fires here in Florida and Georgia to what is going on in the South West, but I agree with the feast or famine bit. We FINALLY got some real rain this last two days. I pray those of us that need the rain get it and those that need some drying out get that.

We got 6" overnight and things are ready to get really wet around hear
