It ain't no S&W , But it is the Mouse that roared.

I've owned an NAA 22 for around 15 years. Bought it for rattlers when metal detecting in the mountains. I load 2 snake shots & 3 LR's. Carry it in my shirt pocket so it doesn't interfere with my detecting equipment. Does the job very well. Never had to use it for self defense but it's there if needed.

I think we should move this post around the Forum until everyone has seen the difference between civility and un-intelligent discussion.

ANY firearm is better than none.

And a .22 WMR in a small handgun makes good sense. I never met anybody who liked getting shot with anything.

Nice sixgun. You should have someone make a quick-draw, western style belt and holster for it...floral carved too.:D

I don't know if this statistics hold true today but isn't the majority of people are killed by .22's then any other caliber? The .22 WMR is seeing somewhat of a resurgence for CC. Several ammo companies are making defensive ammo for it. It would be the perfect caliber for a backpack BUG; lightweight and won't take up much space in the backpack.

As an aside, they are now taking sheds for dog treats. I'm thinking of getting a couple and making knife scales out of them.

You know guys , I was just trying to share what I think is a cool little gun I got. I don't understand why some people have to make cutting remarks (Paperweight). I'm sure just about every one here has more than one brand of guns in their collection. I for one love S&W but I also like other guns. I really enjoy reading about all kinds of guns from different people. I try to keep a open mind and learn new things every day. Maybe some day there will be a specific place on this forum to talk about any gun you might want to share. Thanks , John.

I'm with you all the way. I've had one of the early Mags for decades, and for those times when even a J frame Airweight is too bulky or heavy (like in the pocket of my swimtrunks at the beach), I'd certainly rather have that little revo than a pocket knife or a tiny jam-prone auto.

The built in safety feature where the hammer rides in a slot between chambers is also very cool and well designed.

Those stocks do look sweet. I checked some out too, but didn't want to spring for the high bucks. Did get a super cool pocket holster though, on the NAA forum.

Cool little gun, thanks for sharing. Those stags really set it apart from the rest.

I really don't understand the negativity in this thread. I thought this place was better than that??

Maybe I missed something, but the OP never said anything about this being a suitable, end all, fight stopping gun. I thought his post was all about showing off a neat little gun. I guess my reading comprehension skills are starting to diminish as I'm getting older.

As to longevity & reliability, this one has a 4 digit serial number. I bought it new. I loose track of time but I'm guessing fifteen years ago. It also goes well on your belt along side of a good pair of cutters while salt water fishing off shore. I have no idea how many rounds have been through it but I can't recall a single FTF.

I've had the NAA mini - .22 LR with the fold up handle and pocket clip for a few years. I carried it all the time I walked my dog in a wooded neighborhood park due to encounters with diamondbacks and one rabid fox. None of the people I met along the way had a clue that I was carrying a firearm.
To improve accuracy I filed down the front sight and painted it bright yellow; it is accurate out to about ten feet.

The NAA mini in 22LR that I had was absolutely, 100% reliable. It fired any ammo. I also carried 1 or 2 buckshot rounds followed by hollow points. The 22LR variety have the smaller grip (I know they're all pretty small) and it would tip up in your hand with each shot - but get this - it didn't matter because it was going to tip up anyway when you worked the single action hammer.

I have a 1 5/8" Bbl. magnum and a 1 1/8" Bbl. LR model and a 1 1/8" Bbl. black powder model. and a..... oh hell I'm addicted.

John,

I don't care what any of the doubting Thomas's say....

Even a rough ol cob such a myself, carry's one of those lit'l SA .22 Magnum revolvers.
For over a decade, I have.

I was showing mine NAA to the Chief of a small local department.
He order all his officers one just to carry in the uniform trouser pocket, in addition to their compact glock ankle gun.

Kinda like.......

Let's jest say...If yer ground fightin one, that's trying to rip yur holstered
sidearm outta it's scabbard and your ankle gun is outta reach.

If a feller can reach into his offside pant pocket or breast shirt pocket...
Screw that lit'l rascal into your would be killer's ear,

When he stiff'ns up and quits kicking, jest roll em off'n ya. ;)

.

I carried the 1 1/8" version of the NAA, chambered in .22 Mag, for many years. It rode in my left front uniform trousers pocket in a NAA holster (I'm right handed). My duty weapon was generally a 1911 pattern .45 or a .44 Special, .45 Colt, or .45 ACP revolver. My 1st back-up was a .38 special Colt Cobra, worn on the inside of my left ankle. I had a couple of knives too.

And yes, I did work patrol in a pretty rough town.

I've got a High Standard two shot .22 magnum. And it's plumb down ugly. Your's is prettier and shoots four more cartridges. What's not to like? I call mine my ENT/ ear nose and throat gun. I have long arms so mine is accurate out to at least 38 inches. But the noise should stop some folks, it seems the .22 mag is louder than my .357s.

Been carrying a NAA 22 Mag for the last 15+ years or so. I even sent mine back to the factory for the "Safety Upgrade" to have slots cut in the cylinder so the hammer did not rest on a live primer.

Took mine to the local 'Smith a few years ago and had the butt drilled and tapped for a lanyard loop. It replaced a neck knife (Knive, Knifes, Knives, nifes, nife :D).

I look at my NAA 22 Mag as a way of removing someone Else's ear wax. But, in reality it is aimable out to about 7 yards, center mass.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks NAA Mini's are cool little guns. Thanks to those who get it....

That is a beautiful gun.

I've owned a few over the years. They fit their niche better than anything else! I carried one in my uniform shirt pocket. No one was the wiser. ;)

That's a cool little gun. I checked one out at a gun shop but with my peripheral motor nerve neuropathy and big hands, I had trouble holding it and I'm sure I'd have trouble shooting it.
As far as it serving as a paper weight, I think my RG14 works better.

I've had this one since it was new and it is an early one without the cyl safety and 4 digit serial #. I know I could send it back but I expect if 4 shots aren't enough I'm toast anyway. It's in my pocket right this minute.

3rd gun

I carried the 1 1/8" version of the NAA, chambered in .22 Mag, for many years. It rode in my left front uniform trousers pocket in a NAA holster (I'm right handed). My duty weapon was generally a 1911 pattern .45 or a .44 Special, .45 Colt, or .45 ACP revolver. My 1st back-up was a .38 special Colt Cobra, worn on the inside of my left ankle. I had a couple of knives too.

Back in the 60s and 70s I remember meeting some Philadelphia police officers at my uncles farm. He made the holsters for the department. Some of the LEOs carried High Standard Derringers in a cuff case [I think] as a bug. The mini revolver was not out back then.
I still believe there is a need if not want for these tiny mouse guns. There are not many other guns which can be packed on a neck chain.
I would like to see some ballistics on the mini with .22 short HP , .and various .22 LR and the magnum. I doubt expansion is there in any and wonder how true it flies or will it keyhole at 7 yards and beyond. Not that shots over 7 yards would be a good idea. So if anyone finds some info please post the link.
I had to smile when I saw the laser on one. No I did not buy the cat toy! Not a laser fan myself. Though I do have just one.

Well there is my 2 cents worth for today.
