It starts.... - Feinstein's Bill

Another thing I heard today that I hope isn't true and kind of upsets me, is that 53% of American's support the idea of these new gun bills?

53% of people had a knee-jerk reaction after a national tragedy to a loaded question from a pollster. As if 53% of Americans have even seen the text of the bill... Or heck, even 5%!?

I don't put too much credence in what "the latest polls are showing".

to build Home Land Security (HLS) into a mass...

Not for nothing, but your friend's story would be a bit more plausible if he called the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by its proper name. :)

I personally think the government is screwed this time around, and they know it. Unlike the ban back in 94, we have massive social networking this time around. Word gets around quick about the commies agenda.

For now.....unfortunately. They will (the antis) cave to secure elections in 2014. I wonder if they will all turn once voted back in?? Feinstein will not stop. Not as long as she is in office. We are in for a long fight.

I'm receiving reports from all over the country that a whole bunch of county sheriffs are going on record that if it ever comes to confiscation, not only will they not be a party to it, but that they will actively combat with all their firepower any federal forces that attempt it in their jurisdictions. Here in Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio has made that clear; same in Arizona's Pinal County. Many states are introducing legislation that in effect says "not in this state, big brother."

The gun banners are messing with the wrong people. "...a free people...ought to be armed." - George Washington

The problem is with states like CA she will keep getting elected. We need to have term limits in all level if government

Yeah its strange that some guns just aren't on there that one would think they might list??? To be honest, I don't feel like anything should be on that list at all. If we give them an inch they will just try to take a mile, and I really don't feel like we should have to give up any of our guns or our rights.

The good news, if you want to call it that, is that so far it sounds like they are only going to stop allowing these guns into our country, but not do anything about the ones that we already own.

I wonder though, are companies who produce guns on this list in the US will be allowed to keep on with production? I mean what if they ship them to other countries? If they do pass a bill, I hope no more Americans lose jobs over it.

I would hate to be in the assault rife industry right now. The are probably doing record buisness right now. But what happens if our government stops production? Then those people all lose there jobs?? Guess all we can do is continue to write congress and our government and share our unhappy feelings about all this, and just wait to see what happens? Hopefully we can do more than just sit here and watch as they take away our rights!!! Hopefully freedom of speech or religion isn't the next thing they go after. Before you know it we won't have any freedoms left.

In reference to your first sentence. Just goes to show they don't know what the hell they are doing. Meddling in the wrong place.
