It's been a good year for Austin PD Revolvers

welcome01 to the forums from the Wiregrass! 1952-53. It is a .38-44 Heavy Duty. I'll let someone who knows the APD guns give you a value. It seems to be in pretty nice shape for an LEO gun.

I suggest to send a private message to Larry (Ringo1597) who started this thread. Larry is a retired APD officer who is THE authority on APD guns and probably owns half the guns ever issued by the department.

BTW. Welcome to the forum... it is a fun place.

The value of APD guns can go nowhere but up as at present there is some discussion about re-naming the City of Austin, because Stephen F. Austin was a proponent of slavery. I am not making this up. Austin is not far removed, at least philosophically, from Berkeley and the Silicon Valley. I wonder how many other cities have an Equity Office?

Rename Austin? A report suggests taking a closer look - CNN
