Absent Comrade
By virtue (or vice, more likely) of being a verbose, opinionated old curmudgeon I seem to have passed 5600 posts and 5000 likes. Seems to be karma time, to reward you folks for putting up with me.
Offered is a coffee table book, The Illustrated Book Of Guns, edited by David Miller.
Mind you, this is not a scholarly reference book. It's more firearms eye candy. It depicts and briefly describes around a thousand guns, with over a thousand photographs; but since it covers handguns, rifles, shotguns and machine guns it isn't very thorough in any one category. It gives a hell of a lot of attention to various Colt revolvers, especially SA models, and comparatively short shrift to Smith & Wesson. But it's kind of pretty and the price to the winner is right.
I'll set up a random draw to take place on 15 January at six PM.
This is one way of doing what I should do more: thanking the finest gun forum I've ever seen, and its remarkable people.
Jump in whenever you're ready!
