It is so cold here, today I saw a squirrel warming his nuts by a fire.

I been looking out the window for an hour,I haven't seen one dog it's so cold.

Wife's car read -5 on the way to work. Supposed to get up into the 30's today and 50's Wednesday. Sun is out and no wind to speak of.
Tripped the breaker switch on my power bar in the well house so water froze. I moved the cord to a dedicated outlet and had water back in about 30 minutes.
Got ice and snow Saturday and while I was bringing stuff in from the garage my feet came out from under me and I landed flat on my back. laid there a minute. Back doesn't really hurt but I have an old rib injury that came back. Hurts to breathe sometimes.

Ok, got to say it. It's cold enough to freeze the balls off of a brass monkey!

The base for these cannon balls was called a monkey and they were sometimes made of brass which would contract in cold weather and would cause some of the cannon balls to fall off.Freeze the balls off a brass monkey

49* here today, but partly cloudy. Yesterday was mid-40's but sun was out in full force.
