I don't do family drama. Work through family concerns and issues, yes. Drama, no.
David, it's probably a good thing that you didn't go to the wedding. Based on your description, the reception afterwards was probably a cash bar.

my mom had 7 sons, 14 daughters-in-laws and countless grand and great-grandkids. i feel kind of normal here!
Every once in a while I call my dad and sister and brother in law and thank them for being normal and functional.
