I hear battle sounds inside my safe when I close the door as the forces of good and evil battle it out for supremacy. I've ventured away from my beloved S&W only stance and have introduced the sinister and evil Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan in 454 Casull into the stable. It quickly joined forces with the lonely Ruger 22/45 to battle the rebellion forces of S&W. It even brought a secret that has shocked the S&W forces. It may take years and many untold deaths before this is settled.........

I'm a Smith guy but got no beef with Rugers so long as I shoot them SA only.

I see it's nose to nose with the X-Frame:-)

New to owing S&W's but I own a Ruger Alaskan in .454/.45 Colt and it pairs up nicely with my recent S&W 629-2E !
Mainly purchased the Alaskan to shoot really hot .45 Colt.

Have the same 629 in my pic as well. There's just something about snub nosed revolvers with unfluted cylinders.

Got to laugh at the top picture. A few years ago I walked into a LGS I do a bit of business with and right in the middel of the used revolver case sat 1 Colt DS 2'' surrounded by about 15 S&Ws in all sorts of barrel lengths.

Gun looked nice and very lonely and I made the mistake of telling the owner, let me see that little Colt. Checked it out and it was very mechanical sound and over a 90 on the condition scale.

Got him to knock off a few bucks off the already decent price and the gun was mine. I really like it and a few months ago I found a Cobra 2'' with shroud in original box at about the same condition. Price was very decent from a private seller and I acquired it!

A couple months ago I bought a Ruger LCR.38, looks like the S&W pistol monopoly in my house is over! In fact yesterday it accompanied me on a shopping trip, I swear my S&W .380 BG cried when I left it home!:D
