I see where many people want a model 58 .41 magnum. I am lucky to have one and have no interest in selling it. It has been added to my carry rotation as I got tired of leaving it stored in the safe. It is too beautiful a revolver to keep stored.

It is probably in the 90-95% range. What is this value?

Does it have the box, papers and tools? Original grips? Blue or nickle? A few variables involved there, With info provided it's hard to say what a ballpark figure might be.

I do not have the original box, papers or tools. It is blue and the grips are not original. There is an interesting story behind this gun.

My dad bought this gun (along with some other guns) from a friend of us who was a state trooper. At that time he was working in the ballistics lab. This gun was used in a holdup and after the trial was over the state could sell the guns to the public.

Our friend bought it himself. He did some work on the gun, including giving it a hair pinned trigger and putting a new set of grips on it. They are smooth and thicker than the original styled grips. Very comfortable to my hands.

This gun is dead on accurate and my favorite gun of all I own. Here are some pictures of it.

Thank you for the compliment on the model 58 and your input. I wouldn't sell it for $5k. It is a great shooting gun and a real conversation piece.

I'm also fortunate to have an old S&W .455 that shoots the Webley ammo. Dad or I had ever shot the gun so I found some .455 Hornady ammo and took it to the range. First shot was a bullseye with it as well. I can't believe how well it shoots. That is another one I will never sell. I have 2 sets of grips for it.

Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving.

I saw one here in VA, at a local show, that was easily 98% , it had a few (3-4) specs on the sideplate. I want to say they were asking $900 for it, I think the box was there, but I can't remember for sure.
