IWB carry, how do YOU do it?

I typically carry somewhere between 3-4 o'clock, depending on the gun and the pants I'm wearing.
My most common combo is a 3914 in a thin Bianchi leather IWB holster. I prefer to replace cheaper holsters more often, mostly due to the lack of thickness. I've gone through 4 or 5 Uncle Mike's cheapies for my P3AT. I wear them when I run, and they take a beating between the friction and sweat.

Sometimes IWB cross-draw at about 10:00 o'clock. Sometimes IWB at about 4:00 o'clock. Sometimes OWB at about 3:00 o'clock. Sometimes in left jacket pocket. Sometimes back right pocket of jeans. I haven't found one position that is best for all conditions. Driving and sitting are different than standing and walking.

I carry my pistol or revolver at about the 4:00pm position.

If I am carrying a small semi-auto revolver (a PP or PPK/S) I carry two spare mags in a leather cell phone case I bought for $4. I used a piece of the closed cell foam that came inserted in the case trimmed to length for filler in the bottom of the case so the lips of the magazine come up just over the top of the case. The case fits nicely in my back pocket, keeps the magazines secure, upright and easy to draw, while not attracting any attention.

If I am carrying a Model 36 or Model 60 revolver, I carry a speed loader on my belt.

I use this design from Wild Bills Concealment:

Speed Loader Carrier

It lets you slip either 2 or 3 rounds in the speed loader over your belt, reducing the profile of the speed loader so that it lays nicely under a shirt or vest.

The speed loader carrier is at 4pm on my off hand side, far enough forward so I don't feel it between my back and chair when seated, but far enough back so it's not the wide spot on my waist.

Model 64-3 4" at 3:30-4 o'clock on strong side hip in an unknown brand kydex IWB, along with a Airweight Bodyguard in right front pocket in a Mika. Reloads are 2 Speed Strips, 1 in watch pocket & the other in a belt pouch at about 1:30. Coming out of winter though I have been mostly carrying the 64-3 OWB in a Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake in the same position.

Note to self: Avoid dark alleys where Mtnfolk325 may be hiding. He's extra armed.

I just envision you looking like me when I can't find my glasses..."where the heck did I put that gun now?" :D

Nice! Most of my good leather is from Wild Bill. I like that cellphone case/pocket idea. I think I'll look through my box of old cellphone junk and see if anything fits.

P380 in a Desantis Nemesis holster in my left front pocket and a Shield 9 in a Sticky holster anywhere in the waistband.....typically around 7:30 or 8:00. (I shoot left-handed) I carry a spare 8 round magazine for the Shield on my belt on the right side in a Sticky magazine pouch. This may not be the absolute best way to do it, but it's the most convenient and versatile way I've found for me. It's pretty comfortable too. I've only had one issue with the Sticky holster and that was in my own kitchen, and involved my Kahr P380 falling into the floor. I was wearing gym shorts and bending over unloading groceries. It actually works better with the slightly larger shield. ( I have a sticky holster for the 380 too that I sometimes use)

Some are not going to like this, but I use a "Clip Draw" on my Shield, and a Raven Concealment "holster". The holster is kydex, and covers ONLY the trigger. I've carried this way for a couple of years and it's the most comfortable I've found FOR ME.
when I go 1911 I use a Galco kingtuk. Spare magazine is always weak side pocket.

Same here. Shield with a clipdraw and I still have my boys:)

In the summer its either my Shield 9MM in a N82 Pro at about 5'o'clock position OR my Ruger LCR .357 in a DeSantis pocket holster.

In the cooler months, its a M&P 45C in a N82 Pro.

This seems to be a good system for me but I am always open to adjustments/improvements.

Taurus tcp at work and 340pd evenings and weekends. Both in Texas Shoemaker made to carry as low as possible appendix. I forget it is even there. The tcp totally disappears.

 Alessi is very proud of their leather! Looks fantastic though. Thank you very much for sharing.

They've gone up in price quite a bit apparently ! I bought the Watch6 and the spare mag holster, and I think it was about $125 if I remember right ! Wasn't that long ago either ( I got it December of 2011 ). They're really good holsters, but since Lou died the prices have climbed ever higher. New management.

If you're interested in a mag holder, most of the brand names make them in one form or another.
