IWB??

I use a BlueStone IWB molded leather holster. Its very well made with a flatter back so as not to dig into you. Has a sweat guard and completely covers the trigger and cylinder.

Here is a pic of my actual gun and holster.

I carry IWB most of the time. Either a model 60 or a glock model 19. I do pocket carry the model 60 about 10% of the time. The only problem that I have with IWB is that I've put on a few pounds in the past year.

Picked this up off of a popular auction site...
Called the Allen's Gun Glove...
I wear it appendix IWB with the offset clip right next to the buckle on my gun belt...
Conceals well....very comfortable...
Highly recommend this one...

I'm new to CCW, and in looking for an IWB holster I've found a few common types in all the different makers I've looked at but haven't seen a summary of advantages/disadvantages to them. Instead of starting my own thread I figured this would be a good place to ask, what's the good and bad in the different ways of making these IWB holsters? Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

Occidental Leather | Leather Gun Holsters

Basically, the single offset loop, 2 loops together, and the 2 loops wider apart.

To me, some holster makers overly complicate the matter. I have not/will not use IWB holsters that use more leather and metal than an OWB holster. My IWB primary carry holsters are j-hook holsters that are very, very, very concealable and don't "flash" snaps and leather.

Give me a Galco or Active Pro Gear j-hook holster any day of the week. Hey, the idea is for the holster to be concealed!!!!

Rant off.

Be safe.

I use a Galco Deep Cover for the J-Frame. I am warming up to it. I prefer the Kimber CDP Ultra with an MTAC. It is real comfortable and very concealed. The Galco seems to point the j-hook straight out and poke the shirt out.

Hmmmm... That is interesting. Think my j-hook Galco is flush with the belts I wear, but I shall take another look.

Thank you...back a bit later with a report...likely in the a.m.

Be safe.

I've been carrying IWB for years. Started with my revolvers, then with various 3rd gen S&W 9mms, and now with Glocks.

My current favorite is a Glock 19 in a Galco copy of the Summer Special.

I carry a P229 in a Comp-Tac MTAC, just behind the right hip over an untucked t-shirt in warm weather, it is a very comfortable holster. As others have already said a stiff belt is a must, with jeans that have a slightly larger than usual waistband. I'm thinking about a Don Hume 715 to carry my 2.5" Model 19 in.

I carry IWB almost exclusively for CCW is public spaces. Often, a tucked shirt is necessary and the Kholster is the most comfortable IWB holster I have found for this application. Plus, the Kholster is affordable. It isn't pretty, but highly functional and conceals VERY well. I personally like the 4 - 4:30ish position.

As others mentioned: increase waistband of the pants by a size or two and get a good, sturdy belt for maximum comfort.
