I have two J frame 36's, the three inch I bought new in 6/21/76, 36 no dash it has a serial number of J393xxx, I still have the box and everything that came with it. I have a good idea that it was shipped sometime in 1976. Today a friend of mine called and said he knew I was looking for a 1 7/8 36 no dash to go along with my 3".. My friend said his brother bought it new in late 79 or early 80's, and never fired, I sure wish I had the box. It has a serial number of 1J00xxx. Can you help me with a ship date on my new to me 1 7/8? Thanks guys,
