J-frame advice

I just my new Model 638 in September. Nice size but the factory two finger grip was uncomfortable. I remedied that issue by mounting a set of Karl Nill grips which allows for three fingers grip. I like the DA/SA trigger and the light weight of the revolver. This is my home defense BUG. Too bad no CCW in Hawaii :sly::banghead::banghead:

BG38 - No idea what do I do wrong, but after >2000 flawless rounds I bought another one. Laser is not useless in my application. You need to check the sights, of course. it is also very useful for new owners in helping to correct the grip, as it provides the valuable feedback. Thank you to all who is talking down its price and Merry Christmas.
I also enjoy M&P340 with CT grips, but that weapon is in different league..

The modern airweight centennials (442/642) are good guns, I had a 442-2 for a while but I just prefer the older j-frames. I have 4 pinned barrel Chief Specials now, two model 36's & two model 60's, and prefer any of them to the newer stuff. Before buying anything, I'd recommend you look at an older Chief model 36 (steel), 37 (airweight), or 60 (stainless). Two of mine have bobbed hammers which I like because they're snag-free, yet I can still shoot them SA if I want.

The BG38 seems like an interesting snubby. I'm not too hip on plastic revolvers but there are those who swear by them. You can't go wrong with a 442/642. All ya need in a Dao snubby without any gimmicks.
