.38 Fed Nyclads 125gr JHPs
Wish the boxes of fifty were still available.

Buffalo Bore "FBI" load. I had to use it on the street during my LEO days and can say w/o reservation that it works. Why use anything else?

Doubletap ammo is worth checking out too

The speer ammo claims has a 135 grain bullet at 860 fps from a 2'' barrel - this nets 222 foot pounds of energy

Doubletap has a 125 grain load listed at 1100 fps from a 2'' barrel - this nets a very impressive 335 foot pounds of energy

I have used their 380 loads and they perform / chrony as advertised

Ok - I'll play :D

All that stuff sucks - carry the FBI load, 158 gr LSWCHP +P

Who's turn is it now?

Plus one for the above only mine are Nyclad flavored.
Hey, Enfield. You still have that Single Six I shipped down to you a few years back?

+ on the FBI load or Buffalo Bore non +P full wadcutter

Speer 135 gd +p, remington 158 lhp +p or the winchester pdx 130gr +p. I mix it up once in a while they all shoot well from my 642.

Our local Wally World {wal-mart} has 38 special +p Winchester green box, not sure but maybe FMJ?, 100 round box for $34.99, that's $5 less than I pay for 50 rounds of the Speer Gold Dot. Of course no comparing the two types of ammo, but possibly good for someone on a budget. Hope that helps. 26

Speer 135 GD or Cor-bon 110 DPX. The DPX is pointed and should aid in reloading.
