J-Frame safety key plug

I recently bought a 642 which has the dreaded key lock. I've found videos on how to disable the lock but is there a cheap plug to put into that hole? I saw one for $25 but that doesn't fit my definition of cheap.

A small dab of silver or black silicone caulk will git 'er done.

I believe there are links on the web about removing part of the internal part of the lock so that it can't be activate, but leave no hole needing to be plugged. Maybe someone will post you a link.

All that really needs to be done is to grind off the little "nub" on the "flag" part of the ILS to prevent a "lock up" of the hammer.
