Four of us took our J Frame out today for a little comparison.

640-1 Gemini Custom Executive Package
340 MP Factory
642 Teddy Jacobsen Action
642 Weigand Action, barrel and full length extractor

Colt Detective Special
Model 66 - 2.5 barrel - factory action

My Ultimate J was expected by now, but Marc is running a little later than expected.

What a difference! All four shooters kept every gun on target. I rarely see people who carry snubbies shoot them that well!

The Gemini action job was the best by a small margin.
The sights on the MP340 was the best picture. That front fiber optic was easy to pick up. The Jack Weigand site was a close second, it has a tritium front on the Weigand barrel.

The porting on the Gemini gave it the best recoil for staying on target. Full house 357s gave a muzzle flip of about 2 inches with very quick follow-up shots. Everyone was amazed by the performance of this gun. Most have been carrying lighter loads in the their J due to recoil.

The colt had the best single action - magic.

The Weigand is probably one of the best overall for pocket carry, due the the package (trigger, front sight, full length extractor, weigand barrel, etc.) and weight. The Gemini better if you can manage the extra weight of the steel frame. It is not much, but enough to be detectable.

The colt was the prettiest, and had a extra round which you might want to have one day...

The 340 was the easiest to carry given the weight, but even with 130 gr 38s it was very snappy. 357s are a bear, I think it would make me flinch a little.

Overall a fun day. Sorry, I didn't get any photos.

Sounds like y'all had a good time! I did take a pic when I had my take all the belly guns out and shoot em together fest, range was 15 yards for body shots and 7 yards for the head shots.
