J Frame Thumb Piece

Question on J Frames.

I have a Model 60-9 (1997 Vintage) that has the new style thumb piece. I like the older style Model 60 thumb piece better. Just person preference on looks.

Will these interchange?

While I have not actually done so, I don't see any reason why they won't.

Yes, they're interchangeable. I prefer the look of the old-style thumbpiece as well, so I posted a WTB ad for an old blued one for my 442. I think it looks much better than that cheesy MIM piece.

Just make sure to get a J-frame piece, not a K-frame or larger:

#1 is K-frame & larger, #2 #3 & #4 are for J-frames.
