I took my everyday CC, 638-3, to the local S&W gunsmith for a DA trigger job, Wolf spring, and internals-polish, the other day. ($50.00, not bad, eh?).

My replacement CCW is my 640-1. What a difference a few ounces make! After 2 days, I switched from an IWB, to a OWB pancake for comfort. Guess I need another Airweight. I'm so spoiled!

Yeah, and now I'm on a quest for yet another Airweight for my wife. She thinks the 640-1 is too heavy also, now that see got to handle the Airweight. But she doesn't like the 638's DA trigger pull, nor do I, for that matter. That's the main reason I have it in for a tune-up!

Did she just "handle it" or did she shoot it?

Make sure she shoots one before you let that 640-1 get away from you.

Iggy is right.

Those couple of ounces may make a big difference when the mrs shoots the airweight.

The 640 is too nice a weapon to let go and find out you goofed.

I must be strange.

I prefer to carry my 2" model 10 over my 442, or my 49, or my Chiefs Special. The heavier gun feels more comforting on my side.

And I shoot it much better too.

I switch from carrying a G19 as an EDC to a S&W 637 AW around this time of year. I really appreciate the reduced foot print ;)
