I saw it not long ago on Dish Network. I thought Cruise did a good job. He is not as big physically as Jack Reacher is supposed to be but, he puts enough into his character to overcome that in the movie. Possibly his coaching in firearms and gun handling in Collateral helped some too with carry over.

It was "ok", but would have been awesome had Jim Caviezel or Jason Statham portrayed Jack. Tom Cruise was "ok", but I had a hard time not seeing him as the freak-show that he is.(imho)

I have trouble taking anything Cruise does without about a pound of salt these days. Not quite as big a flake as Charlie Sheen, but then who is?

Saw it last week and it was better than expected, in spite of having Cruise in the lead role. Have to agree with previous post....Jim Caviezel or Jason Statham would have made it A LOT more enjoyable.
There is an actor named Matt Willig who would have been a whole heckuva closer to Reacher's descriptions in the book.
