My badge number was 514, just 200 employees too early for that famous number.

My first badge number at my dept was 147...Sgt Fridays number just juggled....we changed numbers twice in 34 years ...wish I still had 147

As I remember the story, a young Jack Webb crashed a car into one owned by my grandfather. Uninsured and unable to pay for the damage, my grandfather put him to work to settle up.
