This will be on Turner Classic Movies at 3pm Pacific today. All Ray Harryhausen fans should attend.

When I was a young man that movie pretty well set the standard for special effects. You're right, when it comes to stop-motion effects Harryhausen was the best. I'm watching The Black Swan right now and will probably watch Jason and the Argonauts next.

First time I saw it as a kid I remember being mesmerized and totally riveted to the tv. I was petrified during the skeleton army fight! A true "epic" film.

Wow, it's been years since I saw the movie. The visuals are much as I remembered them, but boy, the acting is turble!!

Watching it now. One of the best parts for me, was when they defeated the huge metal giant. Ray Harryhausen was master of his craft.
