Just bought a NOS Jay-Pee holster for a 3" J frame. It's actually quite well-made / advanced. Stiffened, well-chosen leather thickness (neither too thick, nor thin)'Boned' to contour, spring clip for IWB, belt loop for OWB, thumb break strap. All the Jay-Pee holsters I've seen in the past were funky, obsolete designs aimed at law enforcement open carry use.

Anyone know when Jay-Pee stopped making holsters? This one is not up to custom, or Bianchi quality, but I'm impressed.

I see you can still buy Jay-Pee 'Sam Browne' style duty belts, but no holsters.

I don't know when they stopped making them but my first duty holster in 74 was a Jay Pee.Great find for your 3 inch J.

I'm not 100% sure they did stop.
Last I heard, Jay-Pee is made by the Courtlandt Boot Jack Co. on Prince St. in Flushing, NY. I tried finding a website for them but came up empty. They sell thru most of the New York City-area police supply stores - one of those might be a source of further info for you. Good luck!
