Yeah, I know what you old curmudgeons say when you hear about a 9mm double stack, poly framed, foreign made pistol. Stuff like, "I could never love one of those." or "It's just a tool, it doesn't have any soul." Well, as one curmudgeon to the rest of you, not so fast. Until recently, the auto pistols,I owned were Colt .45s, a BHP, a B-92F,and a German PPK/S. Recently I got an early CZ-85 which I have a thread on, and this. It's a IMI Jericho 941FL. This has soul. Born in Israel, a child of war, from the folks who gave us names like Uzi and Galil. This is no CC gun, it's big and burly, and runs like a top. This is a poly frame version. It has full length rails in the frame. This is no decocker, it has a real safety on the frame. You can carry it cocked and locked, carry it loaded chamber, with the hammer down, or even on half cock, for a lesser DA first shot. But, it is a one size fits all. No grip panels, no backstraps. It's little thinner in the grip than a Beretta 92, and it has a pretty good trigger. Even with the plastic frame, it weighs about the same as the 92. You can get steel framed Jerichos, but they are heavy (probably built from old Russian armor they "found" in the desert.) I have stubby hands, but dang I can shoot this thing good. This thing is fun. It's an Israeli PD refugee, so like we say...."if this thing could talk... I'm seriously considering replacing my beloved Model 13 with it for HD.

I like it. In fact I have thought about getting one myself. The one thing I don't like is that there's not much beef on the slide to rack it. This is kind of a tun-off for me.

But at least the Jericho has the safety on the frame and not on the slide like the Baby Desert Eagle.

I bought one of the new production Jericho 941 pistols by IWI and like it. The slide is large enough for me to grasp and rack it.

JJEH, I wondered the same thing about it and the CZ, but I have found no problems racking the slide on either. I think the Jerichos are like the CZs, you can find the safety in both forms.

I'm certain it shoots/functions great, although it's not very aesthetically pleasing. The steel framed CZ 75BD I purchased a while back has been without issue since day one.

Enjoy your new tool.

I have always wanted one of these to go along with my Tavor and Galils. I really should just order one.

Are the 9mm and .40 the same size or the .40 larger? I believe the EAA guns are all built on a frame that is slightly larger than a Cz-75. I would prefer a classic 9.

Right, the CZ slides kinda look the same.

I might just have to order one and see for myself.

I have always been impressed with any weapon made by my friends in Israel. They are under the gun 24/7, and it shows in their weapon designs. I thought about buying one of these, but it's too heavy for me. Also I only use DA/SA pistols. Nothing wrong with it at all. A fine, well designed and well made pistol.

The polymer version is no heavier than a similar caliber Sig (example 229). They are DA/SA. The version from Magnum Research made by BUL has a decocker on the slide. The version made by IWI has a safety on the frame (you can decock without a decocker).
