Jogging Holsters

Bout the only thing that works for jogging is a belly band.

Everything else flops

I did when I had to carry a weapon at all times. Make sure it is a well made holster and belt. You do not want to loose your weapon.

I keep my j-frame in a Pistol Wear belly band when I go out on runs. It works but I am always looking for a better option but have yet to find one. I am going to try a smaller single stack semi auto with this setup and am hopeful it will conceal a little better in running wear.

I wear drawstring tennis shorts daily and the Shield is very secure in a IWB carried crossdraw. I have actually played several games forgetting it was there. After tennis I usually put on khaki shorts and a polo shirt with a 5.11 Tactical Gear | Superior Tactical Clothing & Equipment belt. Again, same IWB. Extremely comfortable and concealment. I have carried daily since 1974.

Inexpensive belly band from any pharmacy is terrific. I have had several colon surgeries in the past 2 years (6) and always leave the hospital with one. A small weapon is very secure in one but it offers no sweat protection!

Another vote for Pistol Wear. I have one and it works like a champ with my Kahr PM9.

Check out the video on their website, that will give you a good idea how the product performs.

My only critique of the Pistol Wear holster is that I do not care for the magnetic snap closure. Not a huge deal but in lighter clothing the snap can print and it really isn't all that necessary for retention in the first place if you use the plastic inserts that come with the holster to give your pistol a more custom fit in the holster.

Tuck it between the body side of your holster and the gun - totally out of the way. I almost never use the thing, but I'm glad it's there for those rare days I'm doing motorcycle stunts and acrobatics while wearing the Pistol Wear belt/holster. ;)

Remind me to never win a match against you. :p

I go for long sweaty walks. Right now I use this man purse thingy... like a travel thing... I hate having a strap over my shoulder, etc.

I'm looking at getting the lightest, lowest profile fanny pack.

Too bad fanny packs are ridiculed. They are very useful.

Anyway... for those worried about fashion sense and challenges to their manhood, etc... there are waist packs that are designed for sports... so at least it looks like it's specific to activities and not a tourist thing.

Amazon.com: Waist Packs

They are good for holding wallets, keys, iPod, water bottle etc.. and some may have a large enough main pocket to carry a roscoe.

Seems to me that jogging with a fanny pack is more acceptable...

Now, how is it with it bouncing up and down? I don't know..

Rick Perry carries a gun while running. How does that work? - Slate Magazine

Check that out.

I love Roscoe. I can hear Officer Friday saying it now: Let me introduce to my friend Roscoe.
