After a century, JB's 50 is still being solidly anchored to our military. There's a new 1.5 billion dollar contract for these weapon stations.

The CROWS system is very effective and is ran via remote control from inside vehicle. It has a large range scope and so you don't have to pop your head out to see with the bad guys are!

It is remarkable that the M2 has endured despite some of its foibles regarding headspace (now fixed, apparently) and its mammoth weight. I see lighter designs out there like the Russian Kord, 56 lbs vs 82 lbs for the M2. Maybe the Ukrainians can "find" a couple for our people to look at. ;)

Not many military small arms of any nation remain in active service, essentially unchanged, for over 100 years.

Did you catch the video on Twitter of the Russian "mobik" riding to Ukraine with a Mosin?

Was surprised to see these still in use with the Ukrainian Army.
