[/ATTACH]I wish I could post a decent picture like even picture taking 101 because this doesn't come close to doing these new stocks justice. Got these the other day and like the first set he made for me the fit and finish isn't perfect but it is magnificent! Put this pair on my model 25-15 , they are claro walnut. Now already thinking about a 3D set. For anyone who hasn't tried a set of Johns stocks you're indeed missing out on first class workmanship and beauty !
Many thanks again John

As I've said before, I'm a big fan of John's work. If my count is correct, I now have 2 sets of N frames and 7 sets of K frames. If I can convince a friend to turn a 625 lose, I'll need another N set for it. GRICE, that's a beautiful set you have there.

Take pictures out-of-doors, in the shade, on a sunny day. Don't use flash. Place the object being photographed against a neutral background.

Keeping out of direct sunlight, a southern exposure can help bring out highlights. Then you just have to position the shot to take advantage of those reflections. I have a porch swing facing south that tends to be the backdrop for most of my pictures.

Aside from the great advice on already given gun photography, I learned from an old hand during my gun show days that a royal blue back ground really shows off wood & steel. Red works almost as well.

I don't have a clue as to the technical reasons, I just know it works.

Your Post "John Culina Does It Again" caught my eye. I do have a number of his stocks. One of the first I had the pleasure of doing business with him on was this Round to Square Butt conversion. I had this 24-3 and was never happy with anything roundbutt I tried on it, nothing fits my hand better than Square Butt S&W Targets, except "Cokes" or John's take on the "Coke" profile. He asked for my measurements and told me he could make a conversion, I believe this was back before he actually had the offering available. He also mentioned that he had a very nice piece of Honey Bastogne Walnut, I mentioned that I wanted emblems and he said "We'll see what we can do." I received them and was immediately very impressed with their function and beauty.

Beautiful Work

I have several stocks from John. His craftsmanship is exceptional and his work is highlighted by his attention to detail. I don't have a favorite as they are all beautiful. However, here is a set that is a little more rare. Model 29 with Snakewood grips.
